There are all kinds of people today
putting video marketing
to good use.
All types of businesses are also finding ways
to reach customers
by making short films
that appeal to people, and you can do it too!
I will provide
you with some tips
you can use to get started in video marketing.
How to use videos.
Don't only rely on videos in your marketing campaign.
They
are great marketing tools,
however, they should not replace
your other
marketing tactics.
Videos should not replace content creation
like article
writing or blogging.
Videos should simply be used to enhance
the content in
your marketing campaign
and to build up ways of connecting with people.
What to say.
Tell viewers to perform a certain action in your videos.
This is generally known as a "call to action".
For instance, if you
wish for increased viewer
newsletter sign-ups, have them click
through that
link in your video description.
People are turned away from things that are
too
confusing or complex,
so remember to keep it simple for them.
Make your own.
If you want to create videos of yourself
talking to your
audience,
keep in mind that your appearance
and diction are important.
Make
sure the lighting works to your advantage
and do not hesitate to do multiple
takes
if your diction is not perfect.
However at first just go for it in one
take,
as often the more takes you do
you can appear less and less natural.
Content counts.
Keep in mind that some people surf the Internet
using large
screen televisions for their monitors.
YouTube accepts large video files now.
So, do not turn your nose up at high-definition content.
Someone looking at
your content on a fifty inch plasma
will not buy from you if they just see
pixels.
Use videos for promoting your
websites or social media.
Someone that locates you on YouTube
may not know you're on Facebook.
They will
begin to create a feedback loop of self-promotion.
Social media accounts that
are linked to video sites
can significantly increase your customer base.
Google.
Did you know that Google Webmaster Tools
has a video
site-map tool?
Google can't crawl the content of a video,
so you have to
provide them information about the video,
so they can index it and add it to
their site.
Check support.google.com for more information
on how to create the
XML file.
It works.
No matter what type of business you are involved in,
chances
are good you can benefit
from video marketing.
It's a great way to get the word
out
in a positive and honest manner
and get instant feedback as well!
Try your
hand at video marketing
and see if it works for you!
As always I wish
you success in all you do.
